A New Chapter, Built on a Strong Foundation
Many of you know that Dr. Robin Robert C. Wilhite served this community for more than 40 years before his retirement. The relationships he built and the standard of care he set are a big part of what makes this practice special.
Dr. Beau Bolding now leads the practice, and his priority is straightforward: keep the trust and personal care you're used to, while bringing in the modern techniques and technology that help us serve you better. If you were a patient of Dr. Wilhite's, you'll still feel at home here.
Meet Dr. Bolding
Dr. Bolding grew up in Jackson, Tennessee, went to college at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis in 2022. Before coming to Columbia, he practiced as an associate dentist across the South and Midwest, including stops on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, in Mt. Pleasant, TN, and in Southeast Kansas.
Columbia isn't a random pin on the map for him. His wife, Katherine, grew up here, and the two relocated back to her hometown in 2025 after she finished her pediatric dental residency in Pittsburg, KS. They also brought along two cats: Pumpkin, an orange tabby with strong Garfield energy, and Nibbles, a stray Siamese who adopted them in Ocean Springs, MS.
What drew him to dentistry in the first place was an unusual mix: the science behind it, the artistry of building and restoring teeth, and the warm, down-home feel of his own dentist's office growing up. Those three things (science, art, and hospitality) still drive how he practices today.
